The project " Shinning on the Stage - Dutch Spirit " ( exhibition, lecture, performance ) , devoted to these new awakenings in Dutch creative industries with a focus on jewellery, naturally, but with a very open and contemporary-oriented approach. Among the exhibiting artists, there are not only nationally iconic ones, who have influenced the global history of modern design, but also pioneering designers from different generations as far back as the middle of 19th. This exhibition organized by New Center of Contemporary Jewellery and Fashion Culture ( NoCC ) in Shanghai ( Part of the College of Design and Innovation Tongji University ). The exhibition not only brings the quality view of contemporary jewellery, but also seem as a click for putting “Dutch Design” into a wider Chinese attention for potential future collaboration. In addition to the works of these six artists: Gijs BAKKER, Ted NOTEN, Ruudt PETERS, Chequita NAHAR, Karin van PAASSEN, Floor MOMMERSTEEG and designers that well represent the Dutch contemporary jewellery realm, the exhibition “Shining on the Stage – Dutch Spirit” also features the RA Present Selection contributed by Gallery RA and the KAU Collection Selection by Ms. Miecke OOSTERMAN, a well-known Dutch collector of contemporary jewellery.
